In the early afternoon of Saturday 30th, a team of bell ringers will attempt a full peal of the bells at St Nicholas' Church. Nick Jones from Pontypool will lead a band of ringers from around the UK. Nick is attempting to ring at every tower in Wales which is dedicated to St Nicholas. The bell ringing on 30th September is timed to mark the 800th anniversary weekend of Montgomery Castle which also shares its origin date with the church.
